‘War-shattered lives 20 years after – Bosnian Women telling stories of displacement and emplacement’

Jedan dio saradnje sa Middlesex univerzitetom na projektu odnosi se na snimanje dokumentarnog filma za edukativne svrhe, naziva ‘War-shattered lives 20 years after – Bosnian Women telling stories of displacement and emplacement’, koji je realizovan u saradnji sa kolegama na odsjeka filma i ljudskih prava Middlesex univerziteta, a čija je premijera predviđena za 20.06.2016., na konferenciji u Londonu.

Film tretira prisilno raseljavanje i stradanja žena civila uslijed rata u BiH, ali sa akcentom na današnju perspektivu svakodnevnog života i mentalnog zdravlja raseljenih osoba u Sarajevu (baziran na etnografskoj studiji jednog tipičnog sarajevskog naselja sa velikim brojem raseljenih osoba iz Istočne BiH). On se takodjer osvrće na današnji status i život žena povratnica, u lokalnim povratničkim zajednicama (jedna takva je opština Prijedor) i ukazuje na svakodnevnu borbu za održivost povratka, putem borbe za pravdu i komemoraciju stradanja civila, ali i u sklopu svakodnevne post-povratničke zbilje.

Dokumentarni film je prvenstveno namjenjen studentima migracija i izbjegličkih studija, međunarodnog i ljudskih prava, mirovnih studija i općenito svima onima koji se bave socijalno-angažiranim temema današnjice.

Programme Agenda

Workshop of data exchange and training in methods resulted in identification of:

  • status and work progress for each country individually and all teams jointly relating to the ongoing analysis of psychometric data;
  • appropriate analytical tool for advanced statistical analysis of data;
  • standardization of structure and things to do for the final report (country national study) across the teams and individually for the researchers involved. Delivery due for national reports is set by 1th of March first draft, and 15th of March second draft;
  • identification of draft structure for cross-case study study-research paper to be published (resultant from the national reports) and things to do in joint effort with prof. Blitz and institutional mentorship representatives from Middlesex University;
  • discussion of Focus Group data collection and Life History interviews (research strand that just commenced) with planning and organization of fieldwork and participant selection criteria;
  • confirmation and sharing of activates related to institutional mentorship exchange with researchers.

 

INSTITUTIONAL MENTORSHIP

Mentorship tasks for Professor Brad Blitz and Social Policy Research Centre, at Middlesex University as we agreed per RRPP contract are following:

  • Mentoring through consultation on organisation and direction of the project
  • Joint scientific cooperation and collaboration on the development of research publications resulting from the project
  • Direction of the production of short films, deepening the impact of the research and project’s findings from across the region. 
  • Organization of joint events including methodological and thematic workshops at Middlesex University and at FWE Sarajevo in order to increase visibility and promote quality and to develop the research skills of the RRPP network of researchers and strengthen their international networks both inside and outside the region.
  • Hosting visiting scholars, including the organisation of short-term exchanges to facilitate knowledge exchange and increase access to networks both inside and outside the region.

Mentoring exchange meeting and the Psychometric Workshop with collegues from the mentoring insitution, Social Policy Research Centre at Middlesex University, are both to be held in Belgrade, 8 - 10th of February.

Mentoring Exchange Meeting, is a working and consultative meeting between Dr. Brad Blitz on behalf of the mentoring institution at the Middlesex University and project coordinator Dr Selma Porobić, FWE. It will focus on fine-tuning of the exchange activities and the mentoring work plan, further shared and discussed with the team project coordinators in Serbia and Kosovo, Mr. Vladimir Petronijević and Mr. Seb Bytyci during the following Workshop (10th of February).

The two-days workshop, focusing the statistical analysis of the data collected for the purpose of the psychometric study, will take place at 'Hotel M'  on 9-10th of February. It will be attended by the following participants: Selma Porobić and Anela Hasanagić (BiH), Siniša Volarević and Danica Ćirić (SRB), Seb Bytyci and Enver Gashi (KOS),Brad Blitz and colleagues from University of Middlesex, UK.
